half of the debates, 45 minutes, will actually be solely devoted to the economy. the last part of the debate will be split between look, the role of government and governing. >> how about the pre-debate atmosphere? i'm sure denver can't wait for this to go on tonight at 6:00. >> reporter: certainly a lot of buzz, part of the highway will be shut down for about five hours today in anticipation of the debate. a lot of people here, this is a state that has about 8.2% unemployment. so they are hoping a lot of the focus will be about jobs and specifically what candidates hope it do to bring more jobs to the people here. we spent the day at a job employment center here in denver. we met a man 61 years old thought at this point in his career he would be retired with a house of his own. turns out he lost his job a few months ago and had to move out of his apartment and is in a homeless shelter so obviously there is a huge focus right now on people wanting to hear specifics. >> bigad shaban, thank you. >> you can see the debate live on cbs 5 at 6:00. it's an hour and a hal
